In 3 years just 7% cleaner Delhi India’s most polluted city, How it’s possible?

Delhi has earn so many tags of begin India’s most polluted city, it is raising rank 3 in 2019, and rank 2 in last year in the list of National clean air programme (NCAP) tracker based on Ann PM2.5 levels measured by the Central pollution Control Board.

1. Micrograms level increased
Delhi’s annual PM2.5 level improved by 7.4% since 2019, from 108 microgram per cubic meter to 99.7, Ghaziabad and Noida these two cities above capital in 2019 list recorded sharp improvement of 22.2% and 29.8% respectively.

2. NCAP in 2019
Center launched NCAP in 2019, setting a specific target of reducing key air pollution PM10 and PM 2.5 by 20-39% by 2024 in non attainment cities. that didn’t meet the national air quality standards.

The data was released on NCAP’s fourth anniversary and available as the NCAP tracker, run by climate trends and respirer living Sciences.

4. In terms of PM10 pollution Delhi ranks
Delhi ranks third in India after Gazihabad and Faridabad. The captain’s annual PM10 recorded at 2013 micrograms per cubic meter marginally by 1.8% since2017. Average PM10% in Gaziabad and 2.3% in Noaida. The national safe level for PM10 is 60 micrograms per cubic meter.
